Clear vision was pathway to success

When Sam decided to start her own home clothing design business, she did it the cautious way. Sam stayed in her government position using her long service leave to develop her small business. Sam was always passionate about designing and sewing her own clothes. This meant she had the equipment ready to get her business started at minimal cost. However, a few problems arose that she had not expected. Sam didn’t like spending the time preparing for a client and didn’t know how to factor this into a quote. Her main problem was that she had an idea of what she wanted her business to be, but her customers wanted different things. One customer wanted her to make 20 business shirts, but Sam was more interested in creating bespoke clothing.

Sam came to us for help defining her business. We started working with Sam to gain clarity around who she would be servicing. We helped Sam define clear business goals and create a clear vision and values. We showed Sam how she could use technology to improve her business processes. We
helped her set-up a cloud-based booking system and an online accounting system for quoting and invoicing. This decreased the time she needed to spend on administrative tasks.

Once she understood who her clients were and what they wanted she was off and running.
