Neil Cutting Scholarship

This scholarship is aimed at the mature aged learner, someone who hasn't always enjoyed learning in a formal structure, but has the passion and drive to succeed.

Designed for those who maybe wanting to return to work or change career direction The Neil Cutting Memorial Scholarship will provide you with an opportunity to complete a VET level national certification in either Business, Management, Training or Project Management, as well you will be coached by Annette Gillanders and be given the opportunity to work at Biznorth Pty Ltd.

Neil CuttingValued at $5,000 there is only one scholarship offered each year.

Applicants maybe currently employed or seeking employment opportunity.

No other previous qualifications are required.

Must not be enrolled in any other VET (Vocational Education and Training) program.

Demonstrated commitment to the development of their chosen career or pathway.

The scholarship is not redeemable for cash.

Seven years older than his sister Annette Gillanders, Neil was a disengaged student yet he went on to become a gifted cabinet maker and then at the peak of his management career with Telstra he was diagnosed with melanoma cancer while working in Darwin.

A natural leader, charismatic, passionate and fiery, Neil defied the destiny bestowed upon him by his high school teachers that he would be lucky to get a job in a grocery store.

Neil completed a Diploma in Frontline Management three months before he died. He was 44 years of age, a father of two and an enthusiastic community worker.
