A Darwin business contacted us to help improve their staff’s time management. Contextualised to their business type, we conducted a behaviour profile which provided us great insight into time issues. We taught them that it is difficult to manage time, but it is possible to manage behaviour. There were some staff who didn’t know how to say ‘no’, so they became overloaded with work. There were other staff members who liked to ‘socialise’, leaving less time for other work tasks. We expect these personalities in all work places.
We helped this business to work with their staff to manage their patterns of behaviour which impact time management. We identified the behaviour type and approach to time that each of the staff’s supervisor had. We gave the business tools that suit those behaviour types. This provided a lot of insight into time approaches and allowed for increased communication effort.
